Stone Monkey Tao Yin

This class is mostly concerned with the rubbing and brushing of acupuncture points and meridians on the face. Another session deals with body rubs and brushing.

In addition to its healing effects, Tao Yin (to guide and lead the chi) has a powerful secondary effect of providing a natural face lift. Many massage therapists train in this specialty as part of their practice.

The points rubbed are reflexology points that stimulate chi and strengthen and restore vigor to the internal organs and their functions and processes.

Each facial feature is associated with a particular organ. For example the tongue is related to the heart. Knowing how to exercise the tongue tonifies the heart and is said to strengthen the spirit.

To raise the spirit is to automatically raise immune response, so too willpower. Having the spirit and will to live and prosper is a great ally for sustaining health and preventing dis-ease.

The will and willpower is related to the Kidneys. The facial feature to rub are the ears. The ears are a good indicator of one's health. Because there are so many fine points in the ear many acupunturists specialize in Auricular Acupuncture, there's even colleges offering degrees.

Because the condition of the face changes day to day Tao Yin and Face Reading is an excellent means of self diagnosis. (seeing the potential for dis-ease when still small)

. . . AND WHEN I SAY SELF DIAGNOSIS I DON'T MEAN SELF TREATMENT!

I often give this class in combination with the Face Reading, for obvious reasons.
